Located between two mountain ridges, the Valley can claim impressive scenery, picturesque dairy farms, and plenty of local culture in the small town of Pawlet. Family farms make up a large part of the Mettowee Valley, some of which have been in the same family for generations. All of the farms are managed with special care for the rich, beautiful land that creates the beauty of the valley. These dairy farms are all located within two miles of Pawlet village, on Route 30, and Rupert Mountain Road. Each of the Mettowee Valley Farms welcomes visitors; however, they ask that you call ahead for directions and an appointment since there are certain times of the year when field and crop work may cause time constraints
