Last month, Caledonia County NRCD hosted its inaugural community dinner, bringing together about 40 community members for a conversation focused on the future of our working lands. Attendees engaged in meaningful discussions that will help shape the District’s Conservation Action Plan and guide federal NRCS funding priorities, impacting local farms, forests, and waterways. One participant shared, it was “centering to be part of a gathering of folks from the community, especially since everyone made an effort even from far away.”
The Locally Led Conservation Survey from Caledonia County NRCD is open for responses until mid-January and can be accessed here.
